Natural aquarium gravel forms the basis for the species-appropriate keeping of many ornamental fish in aquariums. At the same time, it creates an ideal foundation for plants and has a significant influence on the visual appearance. Aquarium Gravel Anthracite Coarse is a natural dark gravel that ideally highlights the colors of fish, invertebrates, and plants. On the one hand, it creates magnificent contrasts to bright stones and wood, but can also be combined perfectly with dark gray stones or black lava.

The gravel is CO₂-resistant, neutral to water, and does not affect water values – an important prerequisite for a stable ecosystem in the aquarium. Due to the grain size of 1 – 3 mm, plants can grow optimally. The spaces between the grains are ideally permeated by water, providing the best conditions for beneficial bacteria colonies to settle. Thanks to the small, rounded grains, the gravel is also ideal for keeping fish that search for food in the ground, such as Corydoras.

As this gravel is a natural product, it does not contain any harmful substances. Although it is pre-washed, additional rinsing is recommended before placing it in the aquarium.
